We are proud to be one of the only companies in the nation who consistently works with tanks on towers. Our work has inspired many designers, so when the landscape architect for DR Horton’s new Creekside Village subdivision wanted an entry feature, he consulted SWS. The tower was custom engineered to hold a large CorGal® water tank. We fabricated all the custom brackets and manipulated huge 12×12 and 10×10 timbers into place. The end result makes a statement and welcomes residents home.
When the architectural design for the new Hondo Public Library specified a tank and tower as a central feature, Specified Water Systems was called to assist. Being very limited on budget, a traditional tank and tower were not feasible. SWS consulted with the architect, proposing a hopper bottom grain bin, which accomplished the design objectives and stayed within budget. We custom made letters that attached to the side of the bin for signage, achieving the look that was desired. The new library is now a modern gathering place for the community.
This beautiful chapel located near New Braunfels needed a fire protection water tank in time for a wedding. Specified Water Systems was able to produce a 13,000 gallon tank just in time for their grand opening.
Specified Water Systems worked with Twisted X Brewing Company in Dripping Springs, TX to design and install a CorGal® Tank Model 1806-WT-CHR with oversized roof onto their great property. It has a nominal capacity of 40,000 gallons. The tank captures rainwater from the building’s roof plus pulls makeup water from a nearby well when necessary. The tank’s water is used for irrigating the landscape around the brewery and the neighboring subdivision.
The Luci and Ian Family Garden is a Sustainable Sites Initiative™ (SITES®) Pilot Project at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. To inform children about water conservation and rainwater harvesting, the landscape architect designed an 8,000 gallon CorGal® inverted roof tank. This tank played an integral role in helping the LBJ Wildflower Center achieve that prestigious SITES® status, one of only 30 in the nation.
The tank sits between a solar-powered, wooden pavilion and a stone restroom building. Water is collected from both buildings’ roofs to replenish a creek, which houses fish, tadpoles, frogs and native water plants. The water tank also feeds the gorgeous waterfall display in the center of the garden. The Family Garden connects the younger generation with nature and promotes conservation.

The church expanded their campus with a new building and a rainwater harvesting system for landscape irrigation. They created a unique design to incorporate the water tank in an outdoor children’s play area that not only educates the public about the importance of water conservation, but also enhances the community’s appearance.
The architect and church elders selected a 14,000 gallon, CorGal® Tank model 1204-WT-CHR for storage of the collected rainwater. The church also installed a 12’ diameter CorGal® Enclosure as a playhouse for the children during recess. A children’s slide is located off of the deck, next to the water tank. Elsewhere on the church grounds, a CorGal® model 0602 enclosure was installed to hide and protect the irrigation and well pump controls.
